Terms of Use

These Terms govern your access to and use of AldSocial. They describe the Service, the responsibilities of hosts and participants, and the rules that help keep the community useful and safe.

AldSocial helps adults discover people and organise real-world activities. User-created activities are independently organised, so members remain responsible for their own decisions and arrangements.

1. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms.
  • Provide accurate and reasonably current information, use only your own account and keep access to it secure.
  • Do not impersonate another person, create a deceptive identity, sell or transfer your account, or knowingly allow another person to misuse it.
  • We may ask for reasonable verification to protect members or enforce these Terms.

The Service is operated from India under the name AldSocial. In these Terms, “AldSocial”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the operator of the Service. Current support and legal contact methods are published on our Contact page.

2. What AldSocial provides

AldSocial provides tools that help adults discover people and lawful real-world activities, organise activities, coordinate participation and communicate with other members. Available features and how they work may change as the Service evolves.

The Service supports a broad range of lawful recreational, social, learning, community, cultural, religious, spiritual and other real-world interests.

Unless AldSocial expressly states otherwise, user-created activities are organised by users. AldSocial is the technology platform and is not the organiser, venue operator, coach, travel provider, supervisor, employer, agent or guarantor. Displaying an activity does not mean that AldSocial endorses, verifies, sponsors or approves it.

3. Hosts, activities and participation

  • Hosts must describe the activity, time, location, expectations and material participation requirements truthfully.
  • Hosts must use venues only where they are entitled or permitted to do so and respect applicable capacity, permission, licence, safety and local requirements.
  • A listing is not a governmental permit, venue permission, legal approval or certification. Hosts are responsible for determining and obtaining what their activity requires.
  • Hosts must use available participation and visibility settings responsibly and describe any important participation conditions clearly.
  • Any expression of interest, invitation, acceptance or approval within the Service does not guarantee identity, compatibility, attendance, safety, skill, fitness, legality or suitability.

Participants remain responsible for deciding whether an activity is appropriate for them and whether to attend. Hosts may manage participation using the options made available by the Service, subject to these Terms and applicable law. Participants should respect lawful activity rules, venue rules and reasonable coordination instructions.

4. Safety, locations and outside arrangements

Real-world activities involve ordinary risks that vary by activity and that AldSocial cannot eliminate. Use your own judgment about people, venues, travel, physical requirements and personal safety. For a first meeting, consider a public or group setting, tell someone you trust where appropriate, and avoid sharing unnecessary sensitive information.

The Service may process and display location or meeting information with visibility that depends on the relevant activity and participation settings. Do not publish another person’s private address, precise location, contact details or sensitive personal information without permission.

Product limits govern use of AldSocial; they do not control arrangements made independently outside the Service. Those arrangements are outside AldSocial, and the host remains responsible for the actual gathering. Do not use outside arrangements to evade a restriction imposed for safety, misuse or legal compliance.

AldSocial is not an emergency service. If anyone faces immediate danger or a suspected crime, contact the appropriate local emergency or law-enforcement service.

5. Acceptable use and lawful viewpoints

You must follow our Community Guidelines. You must not use AldSocial to engage in, facilitate or materially encourage credible threats, violence, unlawful incitement, targeted harassment, stalking, intimidation, exploitation, impersonation, fraud, scams, deceptive fundraising, sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate content, unlawful sexual solicitation, privacy violations, spam, malicious automation, system interference, infringement of legal rights, or activities and transactions prohibited by law.

AldSocial supports a wide range of lawful interests. An activity is not prohibited merely because it is religious, spiritual, cultural, social, community-oriented, political or civic in subject matter, or because adults make different lawful personal or social choices. The same rules apply regardless of viewpoint or category. AldSocial does not endorse a belief, organisation, political position or religion merely because related users or activities appear on the Service.

6. User content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of rights you have in information and material you submit to the Service (“User Content”). You give AldSocial a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit and display User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, troubleshoot, improve and promote the Service in a manner consistent with your settings and our Privacy Policy.

The licence ends when the relevant content is deleted from active systems, except where limited copies reasonably remain in backups, records shared with other users, security or audit records, complaint evidence, or records retained as permitted or required by law. You must have the rights and permissions necessary to submit your User Content.

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Service, its software, design and branding are owned by or licensed to AldSocial. To raise an intellectual-property concern, contact [email protected] with enough information to identify the work, material and claimed right.

7. Reports, review and enforcement

You may raise a non-emergency concern using the channels on our Contact page. AldSocial does not currently provide an in-app member or activity safety-reporting control. Provide enough relevant context for us to assess the issue.

Reports must be accurate, made in good faith and must not knowingly be false, misleading or abusive. Reporting asks AldSocial to review a concern; it does not by itself block another member or guarantee a particular action.

Where reasonably necessary to operate or secure the Service, enforce these Terms, address a complaint, protect users, preserve evidence or comply with law, AldSocial may investigate and take proportionate action affecting content, activities, features or accounts. Action depends on context, severity, available evidence, technical capability and applicable law. We do not monitor every interaction or guarantee that every report will establish wrongdoing.

8. Third-party services and privacy

AldSocial may use, integrate with or link to third-party services. Their own terms and privacy practices may apply, and AldSocial is not responsible for an independent service merely because it is linked or integrated.

Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. For privacy or data-related requests, contact [email protected].

9. Availability, changes and termination

We may test, modify, add, limit or discontinue features and may experience errors or interruptions. We may perform maintenance or restrict access where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product development. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.

You may stop using AldSocial and use available account-deletion or closure mechanisms. We may suspend, restrict or terminate access because of a material or repeated breach, serious safety or security risk, fraud, unlawful use, legal requirement or discontinuation of the Service.

We may update these Terms. We will publish the updated version and effective date and, where a change is material or law requires it, provide notice or request acceptance again.

10. Disclaimers, liability and responsibility for breach

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. AldSocial does not guarantee a user’s identity; the accuracy of user-supplied information; that an activity will occur as described; that anyone will attend; or that a host, participant, venue or activity will meet your expectations. Displaying user-created information does not constitute medical, fitness, legal, travel, religious, financial or other professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AldSocial will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from user-created activities, conduct of other users, independent arrangements outside the Service, third-party services or events beyond its reasonable control. Nothing limits or excludes warranties, duties, rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be limited.

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for losses, claims and reasonable costs incurred by AldSocial to the extent they result from your material breach, unlawful User Content, or an activity you organise in violation of law or another person’s rights. This does not apply to losses caused by AldSocial’ own unlawful conduct, negligence or breach.

11. Legal requests, governing law and disputes

AldSocial may preserve or disclose information, restrict access or take other action where reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law or a valid order, direction or request from a competent authority, or to establish, exercise or defend legal rights. We may preserve relevant records to investigate security incidents, complaints, fraud or misuse, subject to law and our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts and authorities having jurisdiction under applicable law.

12. Contact and general terms

Use the channel that best matches your request:

  • General or account support: [email protected]
  • Safety concerns, abuse reports or grievances: [email protected]
  • Privacy and data requests: [email protected]
  • Legal notices: [email protected]

Additional contact information and guidance are available on our Contact page. Email is not monitored as an emergency channel.

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without consent where consent may legally be required. AldSocial may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful reorganisation, financing, merger, acquisition or transfer of the Service.

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and additional terms expressly presented for a feature form the agreement governing use of the Service.
